Four materials, made to last
Our furniture spends decades outdoors with minimal maintenance, even in the most extreme conditions. That is why we use only four materials: anti-corrosion steel, eco-friendly timber, eco-concrete and HPL laminate panel.
15+ years warranty — 15 years on wood and powder coating. Lifetime guarantee against rust.
Anti-corrosion steel
The frame of every piece is steel, cut, bent and welded at our plant in Legutio. All fixings are supplied in stainless steel.
- Why we use it
- All our steel carries Joma Marine™, designed for the harshest environments: it holds up even on the coast, with the highest salinity and humidity.
- Durability and warranty
- Corrosion class C5 (EN ISO 12944-2:2017) and over 1000 h of salt spray (UNE-EN ISO 9227); it also passes UNE-EN 13724. Lifetime guarantee against rust.
- Maintenance
- Water and neutral soap with a soft cloth; no scourers, abrasives or solvents.
- Finishes
- Powder coating in over 200 JomaColor RAL colours, satin and textured. Every metal reference can also be ordered uncoated.
Joma Marine™, in four phases
-
Cleaning and pre-treatment
Degreasing and activation in immersion tanks.
-
Cataphoresis
Cathodic electrodeposition: the coating reaches the whole part evenly.
-
Primer
High zinc content, for aggressive and marine environments.
-
Powder coating
Solvent-free, applied electrostatically and cured in an oven at 180–200 °C.
Atmospheric corrosion classes
The classes of EN ISO 12944-2:2017 with example environments. Joma Marine™ meets C5.

Eco-friendly timber
Lunawood: thermally modified timber, made naturally and without toxic products, which we machine in Legutio. We also work with Iroko, a very hard, durable and stable timber.
- Why we use it
- Made for outdoor use: Lunawood has durability class 2, PEFC and FSC certification and the Nordic Swan ecolabel. Iroko is FSC certified.
- Durability and warranty
- Lunawood: 30 years of estimated service life (BRE). 15 years warranty on wood.
- Maintenance
- Clean and revitalise the varnish once or twice a year, and renew the finish every 3-5 years.
- Finishes
- Lunawood or Iroko, protected with a clear water-based exterior varnish.
Timber use classes (EN 335)
Where a timber can be used, depending on its exposure to moisture.
| Class | Conditions of use | Timber moisture |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Not in ground contact, covered and dry. | Always dry, below 20 %. |
| 2 | Not in ground contact, covered, with little chance of getting wet. | Occasionally above 20 %. |
| 3 | Not in ground contact, exposed to the weather. | Frequently above 20 %. |
| 4 | In contact with the ground or fresh water. | Always above 20 %. |
| 5 | In contact with salt water or in splash zones. | Always above 20 %. |
Eco-concrete
High-quality architectural concrete HA-45 / HAC-45, self-compacting and sulphate-resistant (exposure class IIIa SR), and HA-35 on some pieces: the exact class is on each product sheet (HAC45-B12-IIIa SR, HA45-B12-IIIA QB, HA35-B12-IIA).
- Why we use it
- Fine etched finish, water-repellent, with an anti-stain and anti-fungal surface protection according to EN 13198. The sulphate-resistant mix is less porous, so it resists damp and mould better.
- Durability and warranty
- 50-year warranty.
- Maintenance
- Water and a brush, or a pressure washer; neutral detergent for stains, never acid products.
- Finishes
- Four tones: grey, white, black and beige.
